Please get involved in an action week about Palestine.
We are asking you to meet with your MP to talk to them about new Conservative plans which are a direct attack on local councils. The plans block local councils from choosing to boycott or divest from companies involved in the illegal occupation of Palestine when they choose which goods and services to buy. The Conservatives are deliberately forcing the plans through as “Secondary Legislation” so that they don’t have to present them to MPs for debate. They are using completely undemocratic means to push through their agenda, and attacking local democracy. This is a clear clampdown on the growing movement for freedom, equality and justice. It forces councils to ignore our collective obligations under international law and remain complicit in the ongoing occupation of Palestine
